Attendance
Dear Oakhill families
Our approach to attendance is All day, Every Day, On Time!
Being on time is a life skill and its starts at the earliest age. We ask that you contact school if there is any circumstance that you cannot bring your child to school – or you may be late. Our children start school from the minute they join Nursery and we have the expectation that they will be in every session.
Holidays in term time will not be authorised unless there are very exceptional circumstances and we ask that you book dentist and doctors appointments outside the school day.
Non attendance - The safeguarding of your children is vitally important to us and we will always undertake the most stringent safeguarding procedures to ensure that your children are safe.
We will also take good care of your children and you will be contacted if we think they are too poorly for school.
We have a dedicated team of support to help you.
Mrs Caddick is our friendly PFSA lead who supports families – she will be the first point of contact with you should we need to discuss your child’s attendance or any other needs you have as a family. She has a wealth of knowledge and is very supportive!
Mrs Swarbrooke and Miss Dowley will both greet you on the gate in the morning – accompanied by the days choice of music!
Miss Burgess our SENDCo will also be on gates every 2nd Tuesday and Wednesday should you have any SEND questions and enquiries.
Your child’s class teachers will be in touch via the school app should there be any questions regarding attendance and Behaviour for Learning.
We love celebrating great attendance and we award certificates for the best class and personal attendance!
